FAQs
What makes Superbrow different from other eyebrow enhancers?
Our formulation is based on both powerful hair growth stimulants and effective product consistency.
It is important to have quality hair growth stimulating ingredients in an eyebrow serum formulation. But equally important is having the right consistency so that it is properly administered and absorbed. This is where the Superbrow excels.
What makes Superbrow different from Superlash?
The cycle of the eyebrow is different from the cycle of the eyelash. Your eyebrows have a 4-month cycle as opposed to the lashes' 3-month cycle.
The skin around the eyebrows is also thicker and can handle a higher dose of ingredients.
Superbrow is therefore specially formulated for your eyebrows.
Will I experience any sensitivity?
While sensitivity is rare, there is always a possibility when introducing a new beauty product. A few users may experience mild irritation when using Superbrow for the first time, but most sensitivity is only seen on the first use. Often sensitivities arise from using too much product per application. If irritation occurs, we recommend using the product 2-3 times a week for the first week. Then continue using the product as directed. If irritation persists, discontinue use of the product.
What happens when I stop using Superbrow?
Superbrow is a beauty treatment. Continued use is necessary to maintain results. Once the desired results are achieved, you can switch to applying the product every other day for maintenance.
If this does not happen, your eyebrows will return to the state before their use.
How long will it take before I see results?
After 8 weeks of daily use, the first results will be clearly visible. After 20 weeks, the results will be maximized.
Who should not use the Superbrow eyebrow serum?
We do not recommend using the Superbrow (and Superlash) for:
- if you are pregnant,
- have children under the age of 18,
- are undergoing chemotherapy,
- have recently undergone chemotherapy or are about to undergo chemotherapy,
- are breastfeeding
- are sensitive to any of the ingredients in the eyebrow serum.
If I apply the serum twice a day instead of once, will it be more effective?
More is not always better. The skin can only absorb a limited amount of serum, and its effectiveness depends on what is actually absorbed. The concentrations in the serum are carefully tailored to what the skin can safely and optimally process. Applying it several times a day or using it excessively will not produce additional results — on the contrary. Give your skin time. Effective care requires consistency and patience.
I used to pluck my eyebrows and now I have gaps. Can an eyebrow serum help?
That depends on the condition of your hair roots. An eyebrow serum only works if there is still an intact hair root with some growth capacity. In that case, the serum can stimulate the hair cycle, which will eventually lead to fuller, stronger eyebrows.
However, if the hair roots have completely disappeared or are no longer active, a serum will not produce any visible improvement. A growth serum promotes what is already there — it does not create new hair follicles.
The most direct way to find out if your skin still responds is to try a high-quality serum with proven active ingredients. A formula such as that of Superbrow eyebrow serum can offer a solution if there is still growth potential.
Can I use the Superbrow eyebrow serum on my eyelashes?
We do not recommend this. Because the skin around the eyebrows is thicker, the ingredients in eyebrow serums are dosed in higher concentrations than in eyelash serums to allow an effective amount to be absorbed by the skin. If Superbrow eyebrow serum were to be applied around the eyes, it would increase the risk of side effects.
Does Superbrow work for men too?
Yes, Superbrow is a unisex eyebrow serum.
Who is this serum most suitable for?
For anyone who has thin, sparse eyebrows and has never used an eyebrow serum before.
This is because if you have never used a serum before, you can still benefit greatly from it, and secondly because consumers with sparse eyebrows can better absorb the serum through the skin. This is because there are fewer hairs to block contact between the serum and the skin.
Does the serum also help with bald spots in the eyebrows?
That depends on the condition of your hair roots. An eyebrow serum only works if there is still an intact hair root with some growth capacity. In that case, the serum can stimulate the hair cycle, which will eventually lead to fuller, stronger eyebrows.
However, if the hair roots have completely disappeared or are no longer active, a serum will not produce any visible improvement. A growth serum promotes what is already there — it does not create new hair follicles.
The most direct way to find out if your skin still reacts is to try a high-quality serum with proven active ingredients. A formula such as that of Superbrow eyebrow serum can offer a solution if there is still growth potential.
Can the serum make baby hair thicker and stronger?
Yes, definitely! This is one of the goals we wanted to achieve with our Superbrow serum. The formula is designed to (re)activate hair roots to the point where baby hairs can grow (provided that the hair root is intact).
Should I use the serum in the morning or in the evening?
It can be used both in the evening and in the morning. We recommend using it in the evening because you have already cleansed your face and will not be applying any other makeup products afterwards. This makes it easier to use.
Can I apply makeup or eyebrow gel after use?
You can do that, but let the serum soak in for 15 minutes before using other makeup products around the eyebrows.
Is the serum safe to use on sensitive skin?
Yes, it is! The Superbrow formula is derived from the Superlash formula, which has been refined over the years for sensitive skin.
Can I use Ecuri Superbrow after microblading or permanent makeup?
That is possible, but it is important to wait until your skin has completely healed and recovered from the above treatments.
Can I use it even if I have plucked my eyebrows a lot in the past?
Certainly, our formula has been specifically developed to support hair growth in consumers with brittle or damaged eyelashes.
Plucked eyebrows sometimes have weaker hair roots. By using a powerful eyebrow serum such as Superbrow, you can give the hair roots the boost they need to produce healthy hair.
Is the serum suitable for both men and women?
Yes, the Superbrow eyebrow serum is unisex.
Can the serum cause irritation or redness?
In theory, this can happen. If it does, we recommend halving the dosage (once every two days) for two weeks. If the symptoms disappear or improve, you can switch to a daily dosage.
Does it also help with thinning eyebrows due to aging?
Yes, thin eyebrows caused by aging often still have intact hair roots, which means that healthy and stronger hair can be produced with the right hair growth stimulation, such as with Superbrow eyebrow serum.
What should I do if I accidentally apply too much product?
No worries! You can easily remove any excess serum with a clean cloth or cotton swab.
Can I also use the serum on my eyelashes?
No, the formula is too strong for the delicate skin around the lash line. Secondly, the applicator is not precise enough and absorbs too much serum to be applied safely around the lash line.
What happens if I stop using the serum?
When you stop using the serum, your eyebrows will slowly return to the state they were in before you started using it. This can take between 3 and 24 weeks.
Can it be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
No, we do not recommend using Superbrow during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Can Ecuri Superbrow be used after chemotherapy or medical treatments?
Yes, but only start once you have completed your chemotherapy/medical treatment and your doctor has confirmed that you are no longer immunocompromised.
How long should I continue using the serum to maintain the results?
Visible results are often noticeable after 6–8 weeks, but continuous use is necessary to maintain hair growth. If you stop completely, the eyebrows will return to their original state after 3–24 weeks.
Is it suitable for people with eczema or psoriasis around the eyebrows?
Not always. Because the skin affected by eczema or psoriasis is often fragile and damaged, the serum may cause irritation. Consult a dermatologist before use.
Explanation: Damaged skin can allow more serum to pass through and be absorbed than the manufacturer would like, as the serum is designed and formulated for healthy skin barriers. Absorption of too much serum would increase the risk of side effects in already vulnerable skin.
Can the serum also affect the color of my eyebrows?
Yes, after prolonged use, the hairs will become darker because more keratin is produced.
Can I combine the serum with castor oil or other natural oils?
You can, but only apply the oil after the serum has been completely absorbed (about 15 minutes). This will prevent the serum from being less effective.
Could I have an allergic reaction to the ingredients?
As with any cosmetic product, an allergic reaction is possible, although this is rare. If in doubt, test a small amount of serum on your skin before using it daily.
Does it also help with overplucked eyebrows that haven't grown back for years?
Yes, our serum has been developed to be as powerful as possible to maximize the chance of reactivating hair follicles.
However, the longer the root has been inactive, the smaller the chance of complete recovery. Patience and consistent use are crucial here.
What makes Ecuri Superbrow different from cheaper drugstore eyebrow serums?
Ecuri Superbrow contains a powerful formula (based on Superlash) with proven active ingredients that directly stimulate the hair roots. Drugstore serums are often more nourishing, while Ecuri focuses on actual hair growth and reactivation of weaker follicles.
